Ecumaster EMU Black ECU

The EMU Black is an advanced standalone engine management system designed for high-performance and motorsport applications. It controls fuel, ignition, auxiliary systems, drive-by-wire throttle, variable valve timing, boost control, flex fuel, engine protection strategies, and more.

Unlike many standalone ECU systems, the EMU Black includes a range of built-in features that reduce the need for external modules, including:

• Built-in wideband lambda controller for Bosch LSU 4.2 and LSU 4.9 sensors
• Built-in 4 bar MAP sensor
• 2 EGT probe inputs
• Direct flex fuel sensor input
• Drive-by-wire throttle control
• CAN bus communication
• Real-time PC logging and external logger support

The EMU Black supports 112 cylinder engines, can drive up to 6 passive coils or 12 smart coils, and includes advanced safety and diagnostic strategies to help protect the engine in demanding conditions.

Ecumaster ADU 7″ Autosport Digital Dash Display

The Ecumaster ADU 7″ Autosport Digital Dash provides a professional driver display for live engine, vehicle, and race data. It features a high-resolution, high-visibility anti-glare screen designed for clear visibility in demanding lighting conditions.

The ADU comes with multiple pre-configured display pages that can be customised by the end user for different race stages, including practice, qualifying, race, and troubleshooting. Pages can be changed manually or automatically using defined conditions.

Each displayed channel, including gauges, icons, text, and warning indicators, can be configured using user-friendly Windows-based software. The ADU overlay system allows important information such as low oil pressure, best lap, warnings, and alerts to appear independently of the current display page.

The Autosport version is intended for professional motorsport installations where robust connectivity and reliability are a priority.

Ecumaster PMU16 Autosport Power Management Unit

The Ecumaster PMU16 Autosport is designed for demanding customers and installations where reliability and robustness are a priority. It replaces traditional fuses, relays, and circuit breakers with an intelligent programmable power distribution system suitable for professional motorsport and harsh operating environments.

Autosport connectors represent the highest quality connector standard used in professional motorsport and aerospace applications. The battery connection uses a Radlok connector rated to 200A, allowing disconnection without the need for tools. The output connector is a custom 18-pin, 12-gauge connector designed and manufactured specifically for Ecumaster.

The PMU16 Autosport features an IP65 environmental protection rating, making it suitable for dusty and wet environments. Compared with the standard PMU16, the Autosport version adds 6 low-side outputs rated at 1A per channel. It also features 14 main output channels rated at 25A and 2 output channels rated at 40A.

As with other Ecumaster products, mating connectors and terminals are included at no extra cost, saving the hassle and expense of ordering separate components.

Why Autosport Connectors Matter

Autosport connectors are designed for professional motorsport and aerospace environments where reliability, sealing, vibration resistance, and serviceability are critical. Compared with standard automotive connectors, they provide a more robust connection for harsh race conditions, including vibration, heat, dust, moisture, and repeated maintenance.

For race cars and high-end custom builds, connector quality is extremely important. A poor connection can cause intermittent electrical faults that are difficult to diagnose and can lead to component shutdowns, sensor errors, or race-ending failures. Autosport connectors help reduce that risk by providing a secure, durable, and motorsport-proven connection system.

On the PMU16 Autosport, the use of Autosport-style connectivity is paired with a Radlok battery connector rated to 200A and a custom 18-pin, 12-gauge output connector designed specifically for Ecumaster. This makes the unit better suited to demanding installations where quick serviceability, high current capacity, and long-term reliability are priorities.

What Is a PMU Used For?

A Power Management Unit, or PMU, replaces traditional relays, fuses, and circuit breakers with a programmable electronic power distribution system. Instead of wiring multiple separate relays and fuse boxes throughout the vehicle, the PMU allows electrical devices to be powered, controlled, protected, and monitored from one central unit.

This makes it ideal for motorsport and performance vehicles where reliability, weight reduction, diagnostics, and flexible control are important. Devices such as fuel pumps, cooling fans, lights, ignition systems, water pumps, intercooler pumps, boost control solenoids, and other electrical loads can be controlled directly by the PMU.

Each output can be configured in software with current limits, activation conditions, fault protection, and CAN-based control. If a circuit draws too much current or develops a fault, the PMU can shut the output down and report the issue, helping protect the vehicle wiring and connected components.

USB-to-CAN Interface Included

This package includes a USB-to-CAN interface, allowing communication with CAN-based Ecumaster devices such as the PMU16 Autosport and ADU. This is required for configuration, setup, and communication with supported Ecumaster CAN devices.
